FUN & SKILLS DAY - MAY 22, 2023
As usual, we had a fun day testing everyone's skills at the various exercises for length, line and, of course, luck. Although the sun didn't come out, it was warm enough and no rain!

MICHAEL LEONG AT WORLD BOWLS
GPLBC member Michael Leong represented Canada at the 2022 Champion of Champions tournament at the Naenae Bowling Club in Wellington, New Zealand. He played extremely well, finishing 6th in the Men's B Division. Here is Michael when he won the Canadian National championship in 2019, thus qualifying for the World event this year.

TONY BOUCHER AUSTRALIAN PAIRS - JULY 23, 2022
The club held the annual Tony Boucher Australian Pairs tournament on Saturday July 23
Three teams out of the 19 registered won prizes, plus there was a fourth Hidden Prize awarded by drawing lots from all the remaining teams who were not otherwise in the prize money.

WOMEN'S CLASSIC PAIRS - FINAL RESULTS
After 10 gruelling weeks of 18 end games, 4 teams came out as winners. First and second spots were decided in the playoffs and third and fourth didn't play each other since the prize money was the same for both positions. Congratulations to Lisa Cheong and Kitty Tsin for their 1st place win.

Clayton and Nathaniel competed in the Provincial Juniors and the Under 25s at Sidney LBC
Clayton came 2nd in the Juniors and Nathaniel got a 3rd in the Under 25s

V&D MEN'S PAIRS
On June 4 and 5 Granville Park was pleased to host this year's V&D Men's Pairs competitions. There were 26 teams competing on the Saturday out of which the best 8 teams went forward to the finals on Sunday.

A large crowd of members had great fun on Victoria Day with the four games designed to develop skills for new bowlers and experienced ones alike.

LEAP THE FROG - Each bowl to go past the previous bowl
IRISH BOWLS - Play all bowls then roll the jack to the most favourable post
