GREAT NEWS!! WE'VE ADDED 4 NEW EVENTS

Here are the details but check the Calendar for any date or time changes

CANADA DAY - JULY 1
We will play two 8-end games starting at 10:00 o'clock but please arrive 15 minutes early for a special announcement. It will be mainly pairs but if the health guidelines allow, we will also play triples.
Please wear red and white to display our national pride.

FRIENDLY PAIRS DAY - JULY 18
To encourage new members and promote friendship between old and new we'll pair a senior member with a new member in two pairs games starting at 10:00 am. Please wear whites if possible.

BC DAY - FUN & SKILLS GAMES - AUGUST 1
We have this great day each year which is a lot of fun for old and new members alike. The games help to develop skills for all levels of bowlers and part of the fun is watching new bowlers quite often beat some of the old hands.
Games include Target Practice, Leapfrog, Cutthroat, etc.
Starting at 10:00 am, teams will be threes or fours and scores will determine which team comes out on top.

NOVICE SINGLES - AUGUST 22
This is a tournament every (normal) year with a trophy for the winner. Only novice players are allowed to enter so that they are fairly evenly matched and begin to get a little tournament experience in a comfortable setting.
There is no defined number of ends so the winner of each pair is the one who reaches 12 points first.
The first game, starting at 10:00 am will be by draw then for the second game the winners will play each other and so will the losers. The overall winner will be decided by the number of points accumulated through the two games.
Please wear whites if possible.

Because of current Provincial Health Guidelines we are unable to provide food but all games will finish in time for a late lunch.

June 5, 2021

Starting June 10, we will be offering Thursday evening sessions from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING POSTPONED
In June 2020 the BC Government issued a Decision allowing Societies to postpone their annual general meetings into 2021 in order to minimize the risk that might arise through in-person meetings under COVID-19.The Board has therefore decided to postpone our AGM this year to 2021 when we hope to be able to hold it in our clubhouse. The current Board of Directors has agreed to stay on until elections can be held.
